Terms of service
Short, and meant to be read. This is the agreement between you and Tecnots for the use of Nia Notes.
The account
You need an account to keep anything. You are responsible for the address you sign up with and for keeping your password to yourself; if you think a session is not yours, sign out of every device from Settings and change the password.
One person, one account. You may not share credentials, and you may not use the service if you are barred from doing so where you live.
Your content stays yours
Everything you record, write, upload or generate here belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to it beyond the one thing we need: permission to store it, transmit it to the transcription and summarisation services on your instruction, and show it back to you.
We do not train models on your notes, and we do not sell or share them.
The free trial on the homepage
The recorder on the front page is a demonstration. It is limited to a few short takes per browser, nothing is stored, and it may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Attempting to work around the limit — scripting it, cycling addresses — is a use we may block.
Acceptable use
Do not use Nia Notes to:
- Record anyone without the consent the law where you are requires. This is your responsibility, not ours, and it varies by country and by state.
- Store or transmit anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to store.
- Attack, overload or reverse the service, or attempt to reach another account's data.
- Resell the transcription or summarisation capacity as though it were your own service.
Availability
Nia Notes is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and to keep your notes intact, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and transcription accuracy depends on audio, accent, language and background noise. Treat a transcript as a very good first draft of what was said, not a legal record of it.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account, which removes your notes, recordings and files. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, and where the reason allows it we will say what it was first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
If they change materially, the address on your account gets an email before the change applies. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance.
